Sheffield Theatres (The Lyceum, The Crucible & The Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse)

Our three theatres belong to this brilliant city. So, if it’s a great night out you’re after, or a chance to tread the boards and become part of making magic, you’ve found just the place.

We’re the world-famous Crucible, a Sheffield landmark with a distinctive stage and a reputation for unforgettable productions. The Studio has been renamed The Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse to celebrate its 50th anniversary, an intimate, versatile space for getting even closer to the action. The beautiful Lyceum, the gleaming traditional proscenium arch theatre that hosts the best of the UK’s touring shows.

We’re your ticket to big names and local heroes, blockbuster musicals and captivating dramas, new plays and timeless treasures, new voices and long-term friends. Whether you’re coming for a show, a workshop, a coffee and a cake, one of our dementia friendly tea dances or free family fun in the foyer, we can’t wait to see you.
