Brighton Open Air Theatre

Since its opening in 2015 BOAT has gone from strength to strength and is now well established as part of Brighton and Hove’s cultural landscape. In its seventh year BOAT will be welcoming over 300 different local and national performers with over 130 performances and we hope to welcome at least 20,000 visitors through the gates.

• BOAT is a 425 Capacity Open Air Theatre in Dyke Road Park, Hove.
• BOAT is open annually from May through to September.
• BOAT has an artistic policy of open access and hosts a huge range of events including Theatre, Music, Comedy, Family, Circus and Special Events.
• BOAT does not normally receive any public funding relying instead on ticket sales and private donations. We are indebted to Brighton and Hove City Council for providing a grant in 2020 to help keep BOAT afloat
