Artspod are delighted to team up with our sponsor SkyArts!

SkyArts is the perfect partner for Artspod!

Sky Arts is now free-to-air television channel, offering 24 hours a day of programmes dedicated to arts, including theatrical performances, movies, documentaries and music.

As from 17 September it joins Freeview on channel number 11.

As part of the free to air launch, Sky Arts have embarked on an ambitious programme of activity to support and champion the arts at a vital time for the cultural sector – putting artists, creatives, and public participation centre stage on a channel that everyone across the UK can watch. Artspod is very happy to be part of that programme as we also continue to champion the arts in the UK.

“As a creative business, we believe it’s important to have a thriving cultural sector. By making Sky Arts free for everyone we want to give more artists and arts organisations a platform to create and share their work and to bring more art and culture to everyone across the UK”.

EVP and Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Van Rooyen

“This is fantastic news for our world-leading cultural and creative industries. The coronavirus pandemic has underlined just how important they are to our health and wellbeing. I am delighted that Sky Arts is opening up its vast array of programming to the nations’ living rooms, for us all to enjoy.”

    Caroline Dinenage Culture Minister

Artspod echoes this thought as our website remains free to theatres & venues, and without subscription fee for cultural lovers to find out what’s on and what’s not!

Artspod’s monthly ‘COVID friendly’ TV programme will also be viewed on local regional channels from October, giving a light hearted brief overview of upcoming touring shows and events.

Tune in Saturdays 7.30pm and Sundays at 6pm!
