    This award-winning production flies around the UK complete with all the spectacle and magic that make “this blockbuster stage show” such an unforgettable and unmissable experience.

    With music and lyrics by multi-Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin, The Prince of Egypt, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) and a book by Tony Award-nominee Winnie HolzmanWicked is currently the 12th longest running show in West End history, having been seen at the Apollo Victoria Theatre London by over eleven million people.

    Two-time Tony-winner Joe Mantello directs this “devilishly clever spin on The Wizard of Oz” (The Daily Telegraph), with musical staging by Tony-winner Wayne Cilento.

    After the continuing success on both Broadway and the West End, as well as countless international productions, Wicked is embarking on its latest UK tour. Edinburgh Playhouse is the first stop on the Wicked UK tour, with a 5-week run at the famous Scottish theatre. This essential West End musical is the winner of over 100 major international theatre awards, including three Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, a Grammy Award and ten theatregoer voted WhatsOnStage Awards (including three for ‘Best West End Show’).

    Wicked is suitable for a general audience. As a guide to parents and guardians, it is recommended for ages 7+. Please note that loud noises, flashing lights, smoke effects and strobe lighting feature in the production.
